DABO Awarded $1M in Governor’s Community Center Grants

The Detroit Association of Black Organizations, (DABO), was awarded a $1 million grant by the State of Michigan. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity awarded $64 million in Community Center Grant funds in late February.

DABO is proud to have been selected amongst the 100 Michigan municipalities and organizations to expand programming and work on capital projects.

He is one of the leading voices in contemporary American discourse and is widely recognized for his insights into the human condition and the forces that shape our world.

UAW strikers at Ford Michigan Assembly Plant will receive support from prominent leaders Wednesday

A group of influential voices will converge at Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI to show solidarity with the United Auto Workers (UAW) members who are striking. Dr. Cornel West, a distinguished philosopher and political activist, Rev.
